Connecting the camera
Pocketframe does not find my Pocket over USB-C
Use a USB-C data cable, since many charging cables carry no data. Reconnect the camera and choose Webcam when it asks how to use the connection. If it still does not appear, unplug it, wait a few seconds and plug it in again.
The picture froze after I turned the camera off
Pocketframe notices when the camera turns off and shows that it is off. Turn the Pocket back on and Pocketframe reconnects by itself.
My Mac lost internet while using Wi-Fi mode
In Wi-Fi mode your Mac joins the camera's own network, so Wi-Fi internet pauses. Use Ethernet or iPhone tethering, or connect over USB-C instead.
Permissions
Camera
Needed to show and record the Pocket over USB-C.
Microphone
Needed to record your voice from the Pocket, a DJI Mic or a Mac microphone.
Screen & System Audio Recording
Needed for screen and camera recording. Allow it in System Settings › Privacy & Security (Screen Recording on macOS 14), then record again.
Bluetooth
Needed to pair with the Pocket and wake its Wi-Fi.
Local Network
Needed to talk to the Pocket over its own Wi-Fi network.
Recording
Where are my recordings?
In Movies › Pocketframe. Press ⌘O in Pocketframe to open the folder. Screen and camera takes each get their own folder.
Which formats does Pocketframe use?
Video is QuickTime .mov in HEVC or H.264, which you can choose in the settings. Photos are HEIC.
Why is my recording limited to 1080p?
Free records up to 1080p. Pro records up to 4K over USB-C.
Pro license
How do I activate Pro?
Open Pocketframe, choose Pocketframe › Unlock Pocketframe Pro, and paste the license key from your purchase email.
How do I move Pro to another Mac?
A license covers two Macs. To move it, open the Pro window on the old Mac, choose Deactivate This Mac, then activate on the new one.
I lost my license key
Find it at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders with the email you used to buy.
Does Pro work offline?
Yes. Pocketframe checks the license now and then when it is online, and Pro keeps working offline for up to 30 days between checks.

Updates
How do I update Pocketframe?
Pocketframe checks for updates on its own. To check now, choose Pocketframe › Check for Updates.
